On Wednesday morning a soldier stationed in Kansas saved numerous lives by stopping a potential mass shooter who was firing randomly at people on a bridge near an Army base.
Police responded to what they had believed was a road rage incident on Centennial Bridge, but when they arrived at the scene they discovered that a man had used multiple weapons to fire randomly at people on the bridge.
When police arrived the shooter was trapped underneath a vehicle. A soldier ran over the shooter to stop him from killing people. The shooter was critically injured.
It appears that the shooter did not have an intended target and was just randomly firing shots at individuals. The shooter had a semi-automatic rifle and a handgun and had shot three vehicles, one person was injured.
The shooter and the victim were taken to a nearby hospital where they are being treated for their injuries.
Police are investigating the incident. At this time the motive for the shooting is unknown.
