Michigan Representative, 48 year old Rebekah Warren, was arrested on the evening of December 26 for a DWI after veering into a guardrail and failing a field sobriety test
On 1-75 in Auburn Hills Police Dashcam caught the incident on video. The video shows warren veering into a guardrail before police stopped her vehicle.
Rebekah Warren is a representative for the 55th district in Michigan and on the night of December 26 she was driving home to Ann Arbor after an event at the Renaissance Center in Detroit. She admitted to police that she had a few glasses of wine at the event.
Police administered a field sobriety test which Warren failed. She refused to give a breathalyzer at the scene. Her blood was later collected after a warrant was issued and the test revealed her blood alcohol to be close to 3x the legal limit.

Under Michigan state law a first offense DWI with a blood alcohol level above .17 can face up to 180 days in jail, 360 hours of community service and six points on their licence. Also if convicted the individual has to attend an alcohol treatment program and pay a fine of $700
Warren was arraigned in court on Thursday and had to pay a personal cash bond of $500
