Female Concealed Carrier Shoots Would Be Robber In Chicago

On Tuesday Morning near a Chicago bus station, a 25 year old woman with a concealed carry license shot and killed a man who was attempting to rob her at gunpoint. All it took was a single shot to take down this potential robber

The incident that occurred in the 500 block of West 103rd Street on Tuesday January 10, 2019 was captured by surveillance video.

Shortly after 6 a.m. an unidentified woman was waiting at the bus stop in Chicago’s Fernwood neighborhood when Laavion Goings, a 19 year old male pulled out his gun and attempted to rob her. A nearby convenience store captured the incident on their surveillance footage which showed the woman waiting at the stop and Goings approaching with his firearm aimed at her.

According to investigators Laavion Goings, a 19 year old male, approached the 25 year old female, pulling out his gun stating that this was a robbery. The unidentified woman, who possesses a concealed carry license, pulled out her gun and shot the man.

Police stated that Goings had allegedly attacked a sergeant and officer during a drug raid last summer and he also has a history of arrests.
